If you choose replacement instead of Slab Jacking then there is a chance that you may be without your driveway, sidewalk, patio, pool deck, or carport for up to two weeks. Our work is usually completed in one day or less and the raised concrete can be used as soon as we are finished.

• Aesthetics - When a section of settled concrete is replaced with new concrete it rarely matches the existing sections and looks out of place. Because our process lifts the existing concrete back into place everything matches.

• Environmentally Friendly - Because the existing concrete is being utilized and nothing is being torn out there is no concrete headed to the landfill or a bury site. Also the grout mixture is comprised mainly of environmentally safe agricultural lime and water.

Due to the complexities of each individual job there is no way to estimate the cost to raise your settled concrete without seeing it first. Therefore, we provide FREE on-site estimates. Typically the larger the settled area of concrete, the more we can save you versus replacement.

First, 1.25 inch holes are drilled into the settled concrete. Then a grout mixture is pumped under the concrete at low pressure. Once any voids are filled and the soil is compacted, the grout becomes pressurized, hydraulically raising the concrete to its desire location.

The drilled holes are patched using a concrete patch mixed with dust from the existing concrete collected during the drilling process. The dust mixture helps the patches to match the original concrete.

Yes we can. Slab Jacker Construction adds on to the existing foundation footer to help spread the weight of the building over a larger area. There are many factors that can cause concrete to settle. However, the main reasons are:

•Improper Drainage/Erosion - Improper placement of gutter downspouts or yard drainage leading towards instead of away from buildings and concrete can cause washout and undermining which is a major cause of settling.

•Poor soil compaction - If the ground under the concrete was not properly compacted before the concrete was poured it will eventually settle, taking the concrete it supports with it.

•Debris in the soil - Any buried debris will eventually decay causing the soil above to collapse which leaves a large void. This void leaves a large section of the concrete unsupported, causing it to settle.

•Drought - Expansive soils like clay have a tendency to shrink when they become dry during times of drought, especially in areas that retain moisture or are typically damp during normal rain seasons. The shrinking soil takes up less area allowing anything it supports to settle along with it.
